Office Bearers

Under the chairmanship of Mr. Rahul Masurekar and with highly enthusiastic and passionate office bearers the Bangalore chapter of ASM is trying to meet its goals and objectives of ASM Bangalore Chapter such as conduction of several seminars, workshops, conferences, guiding professional students, collaborative meetings with other bodies, provide consultancy works etc. ASM Bangalore chapter is managed by very passionate, committed office bearers who are themselves first generation entrepreneurs, Managers and engineers from leading automotive and aerospace companies, scientists and engineers from central laboratories of Government of India and Professors from the academia. The office bearers are always eager to share/disseminate knowledge about materials among various stake holders of ASM. In this direction efforts are on to increase ASM membership for the Bangalore chapter and make is as vibrant as possible and also to start several student chapters in various engineering colleges of Bangalore.

Mr. K. S. Subraya Vice Chairman	Mr. K.S.Subraya is a metallurgist and is proprietor of M/s Subbaiah Enterprises in Peeya and Yelahanka in Bangalore. He has rich experience in heat treatment, especially in induction and flame hardening Heat Treatment process. Before becoming entrepreneur he has worked in Mysore Kirloskar Limited and other industries. Dr. J. R. Nataraj General Secretary	Dr.Nataraj J.R is Associate Professor at Mechanical Department of R.V. College of Engineering, Bengaluru obtained his M.E. degree from University of Applied Sciences, Wildau, Berlin, Germany with scholarship grants from prestigious DAAD during the year 2003-05. He obtained Doctoral degree from Kuvempu University, Karnataka in 2014 in the field of Cr-free welding of stainless steel and new materials development. Till-date he has guided twenty one M.Tech students and is presently guiding Five Doctoral Students. He has one Patent Published to his credit. He has 40 research publications to his credit. He has presented his research work in prestigious conferences held in Singapore and Zurich (Switzerland). He has delivered talks in the field of materials science at several forums. He is currently executing R&D and consultancy works. He has academic collaboration with two German universities they are University of Applied Sciences Wurburg-Schwinefurt and University of Applies Sciences and Arts Dortmund, Germany. He has collaborations with several industries. He is member of several technical societies such as ISSS, ISTE, ISSE, ASM, IEI, IFO and is also reviewer and member in editorial boards for many national and international journals. At this moment he is Secretary of ASM (I), Bangalore Chapter. His research areas are stainless steel welding, New materials development, Composite Materials, Heat Treatment, Thin film sensors and renewable energy. Mr. R.B.Dilip Immediate Past Chairman	Mr. R.B .Dilip, is a B- Tech in Metallurgy from IIT , Madras and an MBA from IIM, Ahmedabad. He started his career with Mukand as a Steel Maker, and worked in Production, Quality Assurance and Product Development areas . He was GM Of the Steel Melt Shop in Bhoruka Steels and later GM in the Cold Forming Mill in Nagarjuna Steels, Hyderabad. His expertise are in the following fields: Steel Making by the EAF- Continuous Casting- Ladle refining/ Vacuum Degassing route, Quality control and Product development, Heat treatment, Quality and Process control in Foundries and Heat treatment shops, identification of steels for different applications,Audits of Foundries and Heat treatment shops as per International Quality systems.
